Volatile Acid Still

The Volatile Acid Still is used for the determination of volatile acids in wine by steam distillation. It's standard VA still includes an aspirator pump to suck the sample out after completion of analysis.

Mounting stand & clamp is not included, glassware only.

Distillation is carried out in the same manner as with Cash Still, but instead of draining the entire boiling chamber of its distilled water to remove the spent sample after distillation, the aspirator pump sucks out the sample quickly and simply. Entire operation goes about twice as fast and eliminates contamination by previous sample.
