Packaging & Filling

GW Kent supplies the last stage of the process line, where product meets the container. In this section you will find kegs and dispensing parts, capping, corking and sealing equipment, can carriers and trays, caps and corks, keg filling hardware, canning systems and couplers. Packaging is the point at which sanitary discipline most often slips, and every gain made upstream is available to be lost here.

The last few feet deserve the most attention

The most common thing we see is a carefully specified process line finished with whatever hose was to hand. It is an understandable economy and a costly one, because every gain made upstream is available to be lost here. If you are reviewing a line and have budget for one improvement, the run into the filler is usually where it returns the most.

Oxygen pickup is the quiet version of this problem. It does not show up in a quality check on the day. It shows up as shelf life that is shorter than it should be, months later, by which point the cause is hard to trace.

What this section covers

  • Filler connections and sanitary hose assemblies
  • Valves for controlled, low turbulence filling
  • Fittings that clean in place with the rest of the line
  • Hardware for counter pressure and low oxygen filling

Our team works with this equipment every day and would rather help you specify it correctly the first time. Call us or send through your requirements and we will help you match the right components to your process.
