Cosmetics & Personal Care
GW Kent supplies cosmetics and personal care producers with sanitary transfer and mixing hardware. In this section you will find tri clamp fittings, gaskets, hose and tubing, hose barbs, reducers, stainless containers and flow meters, sized for product that does not move like water. Creams, lotions, gels and emulsions make viscosity and changeover the two things that decide how a line should be built.
Viscous product changes how you size a line
Thick product needs larger bores, gentler direction changes and more pump head than the same volume of a thin liquid. It also clings. Anything that traps product is both a yield loss on every batch and a cleaning problem at the end of the run, which is why sanitary geometry earns its place here even where there is no microbiological driver.
Heated work brings its own requirements. Emulsions are often made warm and filled cooler, so jacketed vessels and transfer hardware that tolerates the temperature swing are worth specifying from the start.
Changeover is usually the real constraint
Most personal care lines run many short batches rather than a few long ones, so the limit on daily output is often how quickly equipment can be broken down, cleaned and put back together. Colour and fragrance carryover is a genuine risk, and equipment that cannot be fully stripped will eventually produce a batch you cannot sell.
- Connections that dismantle completely without tools
- Materials that do not hold fragrance or pigment between batches
- Fittings sized generously for slow moving product
- Jacketed and heated transfer components for emulsion work
Much of what a small or mid sized personal care line needs overlaps with sanitary food and beverage equipment, which is why these parts will look familiar from our other ranges. Our team works with this equipment every day and would rather help you specify it correctly the first time. Call us or send through your requirements and we will help you match the right components to your process.
