- This replacement valve seat is designed specifically for the G.W. Kent brand of butterfly valves with the stainless steel handle with the G.W. Kent logo on it. It will not fit properly inside of other butterfly valve brands. ( SKU# 90-25 )
- A valve seat is essentially where the moving component of a valve rests when in the closed position. The butterfly valve internal disc rests securely on the seat to close and seal the valve.
- This seat is made of food grade silicone which stands up well to acids, alkalines, steam and ozone, and it is also tear-resistant.
- The temperature range is from -80 F up to 450 F.
- Silicone seats are softer than those made of EPDM, so they may be a bit easier to change out than EPDM seats.
