Use aeration-oxidation method of determining free, bound and total SO 2 in wine. Consist glassware only, no stand & no clamp.
This method has been shown to be more accurate for free SO 2 and is preferred for total SO 2. Compared to Ripper Method: several problems can be avoided. That includes the blue starch endpoint of titration can be obscured by color of red wine; SO 2 can volatilize and escape during titration and the iodine can be reduced by non-sulfite compounds.
