  • Voss Kveik  yeast is a top fermenting strain.  Used for producing Kveik and Norwegian style farmhouse ales and fast-fermented neutral ales.  Voss Kveik yeast can be fermented at very high temperatures and the fermentation proceeds very rapidly.  Flocculation is so high that beers are produced that are clear without filtration or process aids.
  • Pitching rate is 50-100 grams per hectoliter.  Fermentation can be completed in only 2-3 days!  Can be re-pitched just as you would with any other type of yeast.  Dry pitching is the preferred method of inoculating wort.  This method is simpler than rehydration and will give more consistent performance and reduce the risk of contamination.  Simply sprinkle the yeast evenly on the surface of the wort in the fermenter as it is being filled.

  • Temperature range 25-40 C ( 77-104 F ), but optimum is 35-40 C ( 95-104 F )

  • Fermentation complete in 2 days at 40 C ( 104 F ), 3-4 days at 30 C ( 86 F ) and 5-7 days at 25 C ( 77 F )
